Blackstrap Molasses Simple Syrup

A rich, dark syrup with blackstrap molasses and brown sugar, used in the High Noon Old-fashioned.

Instructions

In a small saucepan, combine the water, dark brown sugar and blackstrap molasses.

Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved, about 5 minutes.

Remove from the heat and let cool to room temperature.

Transfer to a storage container and refrigerate for up to 1 month.
