Instructions
Place fresh mint leaves and a lime slice in a cocktail shaker and gently muddle until the mint is fragrant and the lime has released its juice. A few taps is all it takes — you want to bruise, not shred.
Add white rum, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and a handful of ice. Shake vigorously until chilled.
Strain into a glass over ice and top with a splash of club soda.
Garnish with fresh mint and lime slices and serve.
